In Martinsville on a business trip and local person suggested I try Third Bay. Ribeye steak was huge and had excellent flavor. Service was great and very personable. Will definitely go back when in town again.

Good food, great drinks and atmosphere.
I'm not saying I haven't had more intense, foodie-type, dishes in big cities, but there are many times I wished I could just have Third Bay's simple pork chop with mashed potatoes and asparagus instead of the over-produced, underwhelming attempts elsewhere. Third Bay never fails to put on a good meal.
It's the hidden gem of Martinsville! Service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I had their bourbon porkchop with mashed potatoes and squash...I literally cleaned my plate ! Their deserts looked divine...all homemade. I will have to leave room to try them next time. FYI - I thought the bill under 25 was a mistake .... turns out it wasn't!
If you are completely ready for sensory overload, end with the chess pie(s). Wow.
My go-to restaurant in Martinsville. Easily the best restaurant in town. From steak to fish to pork chops, everything is superbly cooked, nicely presented, very tasty, and served with a smile and a friendly, local greeting. The atmosphere is very comfortable -- like being served in a room in a southern manor.
